ACRI
was established in Sophia-Antipolis in 1989 by five engineers and
scientists decided to join their experience in the fields of the
applied mechanics, fluids mechanics, and environmental sciences
to transform models of experimental research into instruments directly
applicable to decision taking:
· Philippe Bardey, ENSEEIHT Engineer, Msc
Caltech, PE,
· Pierre Guevel, Professor of Universities in mechanics,
· Odile Fanton d' Andon, PhD in Mechanics, Paris VI,
· Gilbert Barrot, numerical analysis D.E.S.S., UNSA,
· Akshaï Runchal, PhD in Mechanical engineering, Imperial
college, London.
According to the needs of the different realizations,
the group of co-founders have been reinforced with multidisciplinary
teams of researchers, engineers and technicians. Today, these collaborators
who are sparsed in the « historical villa » and the
new building inaugurated on February 4th, 2003, are the guarantors
of the perenity of a positioning and a distinctive added value which
contributes to the regular growth of ACRI.

Skills and specific added values are now gathered
within three complementary poles whose activities are articulated
in a logic of a consistent value chain.
