D32 Azores CGPS network and processing – CVUA
From the project kick off several tasks were
performed:
§
Acquisition of the GPS
permanent station (Trimble 5700 CORS equipped with Dorne Margolin antenna)
equipment.
§
Site evaluation for the
installation of the monument and receiver accommodation site. Due to the lack
of budget for new building construction, an old monument (mark QBN1) was
elected for the station installation. For the final decision we considered the
local facilities, namely power supply, security, easy access and the
possibility of using a telephone line.
§
Equipment installation was
performed on February 21, 2003.
§
Maintenance and data
downloading. Due to power and pcmcia internal card record failures, some
interruptions on data acquisition were experienced. After the installation of
additional batteries and a PC connected to the receiver (by the CVUA), some
improvements were gained.
§
Rinex observation files
are available trough remote access to alf.uac.pt (username: retina and a
password).
After the negotiations, instead of 3 GPS receivers only one was bought. NRT CGPS kit was not developed and tested till now in order to integrate the network as previously schedule. Complementary station to the project are: PDEL (IGP/EUREF network) and RIB1 (SOGEO, private company; data will be available after January 2006).
Taking into consideration the last improvements on processing tasks using Bernese software we plan to be able to perform semi-automatic data processing using BPE facilities of Bernese software till end of February 2004. The GMG (Grupo de Monitorização Geodésica) lab of CVARG makes use of the hardware/software specified on Table 2.
