q       Final Meeting (for all RETINA participants), Ponta Delgada (PT), 3-6 June 2005,  including a simulation exercise in the Azores as described in WPs 7500, 7600 and 7700.

In this exercise CVUA will define the scientific scenario for the geologic event taking into account past cases of coupled natural hazards in the Azores. Then the Civil Protection authorities in the Azores (SRHE/SRPCBA) will respond to this scenario with appropriate resources. The idea is to assemble all the information acquired and the tools developed during the RETINA project. It will be an opportunity to test the links between scientists and civil protection staff during crisis management activities. The discussion meeting after the exercise will play an important role in teaching. The tentative schedule is as follows:

·    Friday 27 May: All RETINA partners arrive in Punta Delgada, San Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal.

·    Saturday-Sunday 28-29 May: Simulation Exercise

·    Monday 30 May: Cleanup, rest, preliminary evaluation

·    Tuesday-Wednesday 31 May + 01 June, concluding meeting for RETINA. All partners present the results of their work packages for synthesis into final report. Also M9 meeting for FORESIGHT.

·    Thursday 2 June: departures.
