How does one event affect the possibilities of another ?

Input into hazard assessment from tectonics and seismology

 

1)       CD will help to define our input – Will be different in each country.

          How we communicate our info is important – Needs of CD

 

2)      Fault mapping is critical geologically + seismically (can only do this in Iceland now)

          Process š

                   Identify faults (mapping) š identify areas of strain build up (GPS, etc..)

                   š Coulomb failure calculations to evaluate which faults likeliest to fail š provide possible scenarios to CD.

          Develop technique in Iceland, š transfer to Azores.
